Note
The number of fishes represented by aquaculture production has increased each year shown due to the expansion of aquaculture. The number of fishes in global fish capture has decreased for 2007-2016 as compared to 1999-2007 and this is largely due to a decline in the peruvian anchovy catch (see analysis).
